‘Young Black Pittsburgh’ ambassadors connect with the girls who shared their stories through letters

A collaboration between

YNGBLKPGH ambassadors — beacons of African-American excellence in Pittsburgh — have written letters to the black girls who shared their personal stories with the city through PublicSource. The letters are meant to provide these thoughtful young ladies with insight gained over the years and hope for the future.

YNGBLKPGH’s ambassadors wrote letters directly to the young women who participated in the I am a black girl and… project. The girls will have the opportunity to meet their mentors during a special event from 5–7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Repair the World in East Liberty.
